The Cab Goes Back On
After pulling #21 back under the lifted cab, we gently lowered the cab down onto place.

The Cab Goes Back On

Saturday, July 31, 2021 by MC

Now that the running gear is together and we are able to move #21 on her "temporary" rails were able to clear enough room to be able to move the cab into position and lift it high enough to put it back on the boiler. In order to clear the crown stay caps and the steam turret, it needed to be lifted higher than we could accomplish with the overhead crane. So, we enlisted the help of the trolley crew fork lift to team up with ours for the lift.
