Tubes and Flues Go In
Jim is threading a tube through the tube-sheet in the smokebox. Robert is on the other end at the firebox tube-sheet to guide it into place.


Tubes and Flues Go In

We have had the tubes and flues in storage while we constructed the superheater tube bundles. With nice weather this spring we decided to start getting them installed. Each tube has to be cut to length and polished to remove the mill scale on each end where it will be rolled into the tube-sheet.
